Haven't been doing them 15-minute portraits lately, i am overwhelmed and buried with work commitments. However besides letting half of my mac display occupied playing movies, and the other half designated for work. I managed to sketch some scene off the computer screen. This obviously wasn't done within the time span of 15 minutes. Thought that i could try some new approach to movie inspired sketches. I still wanted to try captured as much details as possible within a short time frame so that i would not affect my work progress.
Quick penciling was done on paper and coloured in Photoshop.

MAIKO ( and crash course in Japanese Tradition)
Recently, i got to do a wonderful project which revolves anything and everything around Japan. Been doing so much research the self impose crash course throws me into pleasant head spin(s). I admire the attention to detail the Japanese people put themselves into, its often drawing/sketching their traditional art form (Noh, Kimono embroideries, architecture.. etc) send my drawing arm into spasms. Each research sketch i attempt hardly go under an hour.
This is one of the few "starting-out" sketches i did just purely for the sake of setting the right mentality approach. Will reveal the project details in time. Meanwhile feel free to tell me what you think.

ALMOST!
Almost done with my Moleskine X Change project! A few panels more and its ready for mailing! Oh i think i fail to mention the theme was "Story", and i'd chose Hans Andersen's The Mermaid.
Did a series study of Antonia Canova's sculpture earlier, i had always admire how delicate he treats his work. I did a few drew just for sketching purposes, his interpretations of Greek mythology pieces are my favorites. Even if it was the neoclassical era, i would like to think of it as a gentler treatment of Mannerism which came in much earlier.
Flee loves taking pictures in the city, looking hard to see things that aren't there, walking the streets with beats in the head, dreaming big dreams.
